Learned a Lot.

Headed out with my friend and my father for 18 holes today. Tom has Taylor Made R7 draw everything, 1-3-5 woods and irons. Dad has regular R7 irons and R5 woods, regular as well.

Starting with the irons, I disliked both sets of them. Regardless of which set I hit, you had to hit dead on the sweet spot or it felt like you were hitting a rock. I know there is a difference between forgiving and a miracle, but the difference between those with these irons was HUGE.

Drivers on the other hand, I would have to go with my father's R5 set, most likely because they are not draw. I would bang one out there right down the middle and the R7 draw would slowly bring me left at the tail-end of the shot. But after hitting them both, I still love my Taylor Made 200 Steel. I actually just ordered the 5 wood for the set no more than 4 minutes ago :)

My next stop is to look at the Nike Ignite irons as many people have told me they love them and I want to hit them myself before falling in love myself...

I'll start with my Taylor Made Steel 200 Driver. I have had it for a while and it is a soolid club that is both powerful and forgiving.

How is Tiger going to do in the Open?

I am reading about how Tiger is going to hopefully be 100% for the open and how he is finally back on the course practicing again. Overall I see it as such: He has all the skill in the world and is hitting this roadblock head-on and working through it. He is showing great determination and working towards the goal of getting back on the course and being successful. More power to him and I wish him the best of luck.

That takes a lot for me to say just that because I have always been one of those guys that don't like him basically because everyone else does. Yes, he is in the media a lot, and yes he is very good. I am going to applaud him and give him his due credit on this one.

Got a new bag :)

Went over to Golf Galaxy today and picked up a new Taylor Made Cart Bag. Very big, lots of pockets, and protects the clubs: what more could I ask for..... How about a nice set or Burner Irons to put in it ;)
Golf Galaxy currently has some great deals going on and and they would be worth checking out, along with some of the other fine companies advertising on this website.
